Gill

Learning to drive was always a skill I wanted to learn, particularly as I grow up in Cornwall and getting anywhere was not easy on public transport!

I worked in education for 18 years before looking for a career change. Working in both primary and secondary settings, primarily teaching PE

Lessons with me are calm, structured and encouraging to help every learner build confidence behind the wheel. Whether you’re a nervous beginner, returning driver or preparing for a test, I’ll help you develop safe habits and the confidence to drive independently.

I’m also an avid runner, with a EA Run Leader qualification, and a keen hockey player.

Pete

I first drove aged 12 on a family friend’s farm in a Land Rover — a moment that sparked a lifelong passion for cars and driving. I still enjoy driving a Land Rover at weekends.

For 22 years I have worked in schools as Premises Management, spending the last 16 years at Notre Dame High School where I ensured the safety of staff, pupils and visitors across the site. That commitment to safety is central to my work as a qualified driving instructor: I take pride in teaching new drivers how to be safe and survive on the road.

Outside work, I’m a Level 2 cricket coach, an EA Run Leader and an experienced VI guide. I enjoy most sports and is an avid Nottingham Forest supporter. A bellringer since age 14, I have rung bells in many countries and teach others the skill of bell handling.
